Physical Page Size

The larger the physical size of a page the longer it takes to download.  Many users are limited to accessing the internet over a 56k modem and for them, large pages take a long time to load.  As a rule of thumb, limit page sizes to no more than 30k bytes.  Such pages should load in less than 10 seconds even via a modem.
