User friendly printing

Consideration should be given to whether users may wish to obtain a hardcopy of a page.  If this is a requirement then it is good practice to provide a printer friendly page.  In this way users can be aided in obtaining a well formatted version of the page with a minimum of overhead on their part.

If a website needs to support many printer friendly pages then consideration should be given to designing an easily recognisable and salient graphic to represent access to the printer friendly page.
