Tables and Scrolling

Design tables to minimise the need for scrolling: particularly horizontal scrolling.  If a table contains columns of a width that necessitates horizontal scrolling then consider dividing the data into two or more tables.

As an alternative to vertical scrolling consider using paging techniques as exemplified by search engines.
